An innovative new ‘Plant Finder’ tool has been added to Thompson & Morgans’s award-winning website. Aimed at both beginner and experienced gardeners, the ‘Plant Finder’ promises to help with the sometimes difficult choices of what to plant where.
Introducing… the Garden Plant Finder

Help is now at hand with the introduction this week of the Garden Plant Finder on Thompson & Morgan’s website. This handy search tool adds another innovative angle to the company’s multi-award-winning website.
Customers can click through to the Plant Finder from the home page via the Product Finder tab. Here begins an online shopping experience not dissimilar to that of a high street retailer. Any number of selections can be added to a search. Criteria available for selection should suit experienced gardeners – hardiness, soil acidity and type – as well as those beginner gardeners who may simply want to find easy-to-grow flowers in a certain colour scheme for their patio pots.
Over the past few weeks, Thompson & Morgan has asked some of its customers to test the plant finder. Their feedback suggests that it is useful to keep specifics to a minimum for an initial search as there are various options for refining the search once the preliminary results come up.
‘It’s always so useful to get constructive comments back from the people who use our website when we launch a new feature or tool’, said Clare Dixey, T&M’s Group eCommerce Manager. Clare said that one Facebook user was moved to post the following enthusiastic comment:
“OMG! It is brilliant. I sat for an hour the other day looking for certain hanging basket plants. I have just tried the new plant selector and it brought up the list I needed straight away. This will make choosing plants so much easier.”
