Step-by-step guide to using the hedging calculator

To begin, go to the specific hedge plant you’re interested in and click on the ‘Planting Distance Calculator’ tool (to the right of the product image). A new window will open over the top of the product.
This new window has three simple steps to complete, and a ‘calculate’ button at the bottom.
Step 1: Select the plant type from the options available
- Bare root plants
- Root ball plants
- 9cm potted plant
- 3/10 Litre pot grown plants
- Instant hedging (1m lengths x 80cm+ tall)
Step 2: Planting distance
Decide how dense you’d like your mature hedge to be. A staggered double row of evergreen plants provides maximum privacy.
Step 3: Hedge length
Measure the length of the space you want to fill and hit the calculate button.
